Everything pre-owned in one place — bodies, lenses, lighting and accessories, each graded on cosmetics and mechanics separately.
Most of it is traded in over the counter by people we know. Some comes from estates and studio clearances. We do not buy sight-unseen from online lots, which is why the shelf is smaller than it could be.
Everything is inspected on the second floor before it is listed. Bodies get a shutter count and a sensor inspection. Lenses get an element check under a lamp and a focus and aperture test.
We grade cosmetics and function on separate five-point scales, because they diverge. A brassed body that works perfectly reads 3 and 5, and that is a recommendation rather than a warning.
Everything pre-owned carries a six-month shop warranty. If something we sold you fails inside it, it comes back to our bench, not to a courier.
